Michal Zietara
Michal Zietara was frozen around 1758, only to emerge 227 years later, in 1985
from the abyss of ice, as the son of Mozart himself. This is how the artist jokingly describes himself. To answer
question of how he became a DJ, most people have to answer how important a cassette tape was in their childhood
tape recorder. This is where it all started. Michael was very lucky because his brother brought
into their home a lot of good, fresh music, which he eagerly took advantage of. That's how it started... He quickly devoted himself to
analogue media, especially vinyl. He honed his technique in clubs and discotheques
in southern Germany before moving to Berlin, the capital of techno music. There, everything
began "in earnest". He found his place in the legendary club "Zur wilden Renate", where he was resident
and regularly organised events. And he recently became a resident at the newly refreshed RSO, which previously
was called Revier Süd Ost aka Griessmühle. In addition, he is the founder of the label "One Step Back Ahead", and "Loser
Records" which he continues to run successfully. He is closely associated with the label "Pets Recordings" belonging to the
to the Catz'n Dogz duo. How best to characterise Michal in a few words? He is sensitive and shiny as the covers
colour magazines, and the rhythms he presents are not the usual rhythms....
