SARAPATA combines many extremes, as well as experience gained on different parts of the musical journey.
Michal and Mateusz Sarapata derived their love of harmony from accompanying the band Lor, as well as from the
co-founder in the past of his own group SALK, through which their music - using mainly classical
instruments - was based on oneiric, almost fairytale-like stories. After hours, they put down their guitars to
to give vent to his greatest love - electronic music, more specifically techno.
The duo's music provides a tremendous amount of excitement that makes you dance and is like an introduction to a ritual.
Techno performed by the Sarapata brothers is far from banal. It is a colourful, rich, organic and pulsating sound.
"EP1", the brothers' debut album, is not only a desire to define their own character, it is a bold attempt to
introducing a completely new aesthetic to the Polish scene. Moderate trance blends with the ethereal buzz of Jon
Hopkins or Kiasmos, and it makes for an unbearably catchy mix that pops into your head and isn't going to make it
leave. To this they add a unique talent for constructing perfect harmonies, the source of which can be
to be found in the experience of creating film music.
SARAPATA and their debut material has been praised by media outlets such as RedBull, Electronic
Beats (both Polish and German), KMAG or Wysokie Obcasy.
In 2022, they appeared, among others, at festivals such as Audioriver, Tauron Nowa Muzyka, FEST
Festival, ON Air, LAS Festival, OFF Scena and Wodecki Twist. The artists have also already scored their first
foreign performances. In May 2022, they were invited to Vilnius for the Europavox Festival, an international
showcase festival.
